ABOUT JBOS
The Jamaica Business Opportunities Service (JBOS) is a robust communications portal dedicated to increasing trade and business by systematically connecting buyers and suppliers. As a business matchmaking operating system, JBOS is the re-constituted version of the Caribbean Business Opportunity Service (CBOS), which was launched in December 2005.
JBOS offers:

Cluster & Linkages:
Jamaica Trade and Invest (JTI) has recognized the vast potential for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to contribute significantly to the development of the Jamaican economy through increased foreign exchange earnings/savings and job creation. To this end, JTI has undertaken as one of its key initiatives the establishment of the Clusters and Linkages Department [CLD] to facilitate the development of clusters, and in turn increase the competitiveness of Jamaican SMEs by creating forward and backward linkages between suppliers and buyers.

JBOS provides a unique business matching service to companies procuring products and services for major projects. It helps to facilitate purchasing decisions through a list of potential suppliers and their capabilities in defined categories. It also provides direct communication channels to potential suppliers through its website and communication platform.
For Suppliers:
JBOS provides a unique business matching service to companies looking to promote their businesses' goods or services for major projects and related opportunities. Companies are able to list their business capabilities in the form of a company profile, allowing potential buyers to locate companies whose capabilities match the contracting requirements. It is also a useful tool in allowing suppliers to increase their competitiveness as it facilitates networking and searching for joint venture partners.
